Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Davis engaged in the hotel business, they as well as two sons, Evan and Rees Davis and two daughters, Della and Anna Davis, perished in the flood of May 1889, when the hotel was washed away. William N. Davis and his sister, Mrs. Sarah Raab, were with them in the building at the time of the flood, but they were rescued at the Cambria Club House, now the Capital Hotel |
