Remarks:   Ott, Richard Morrell, 92, Arbutus Park Manor, and Westmont resident for many years, died on November 12, 2020 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born October 7, 1928 in Johnstown, son of the late Minter M. and Ruby (Rishell) Ott. Preceded in death by parents, step-mother Margaret (Coleman) Ott and wife Helen (Walker) Ott. Survived by sons, David, Johnstown and Paul, Sinking Spring, PA and his wife Lynn and their daughters Alissa Ott, Reading, PA and Kathleen (Brandon) Myers, Sinking Spring, PA, along with great-granddaughter Emma. Retired from the Johnstown Savings Bank where he was the Westmont Branch Manager. Former Assistant to the Program Director at WJAC-TV, Channel 6. 1946 graduate of the former Westmont Upper Yoder High School, Johnstown. 1950 graduate of Gettysburg College. Member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity and US Air Force veteran. Passed national audition and graduated from the Air Force Band School. His first performance was playing drums for a show co-starring Bob Hope and Debbie Reynolds in San Francisco. Former Board Member of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra and 40 year member of the Symphony Chorus. Former president of Westwood Kiwanis Club. Former president of local Sierra Club. Member of Cambria Lodge No. 278, F & AM. Co-founder with wife Helen of Cambria County Chapter, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. Life member and former Council Member of First Lutheran Church and 60 year member of the church choir. Former Secretary-Treasurer of the Citizensí Cemetery Association, Grandview Cemetery. In his retirement he enjoyed being a volunteer greeter at the Arbutus Park Manor, which was co-founded by his grandfather, the Rev. E. W. Rishell, and four other ministers many years ago.
