South Fork, May 12--Solomon William Treece, of this place, died at his home here at 11 o'clock Saturday night after a long illness, aged 55 years. Funeral services will be conducted at the home here at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by the Rev. W. A. Streamer, pastor of the local Lutheran Church, with burial in the South Fork Cemetery.

S.W Treece was born near Saxton, Bedford County, his father was a veteran of the Civil War and has been dead for a number of years. S. W. Treece was a brother of Alexander, Lem, and Frank Treece, Mrs. Margaret Russell and Mrs. Cunningham, of Shy Beaver, this state; James Treece of Colorado, and Mrs. Rose Garner, of Markelysburg, this state. Besides these, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Bauers Treece, a daughter of Mrs. Ellen Recke Bauers, formerly of Johnstown, now Pittsburg, and three sons, William of Leechburg; John of Shy Beaver, and Richard at home. Mr. Treese's death was due to paralysis. He sucered two strokes, the first one last Juy and the second one on Saturday night.
