Remarks:   Rosian, Raymond, 89. On April 26, 2020 Ray slipped seamlessly into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Patton, he was the last surviving member of his siblings, Grace Pierce, Fred, Paul, and Ralph Rosian–his twin brother. Ray was a vital and energetic person throughout his life, skilled at dance roller skating, water skiing, sailing, organ playing, farming, and auto repair—an ability that began when he was a teenager and became his life-long career. He married the late Renelda Hauret, with whom he had four children, Debbie Penrod, Arlene Rosian, Rona Boley, and Brian Rosian. Ray later married Betty Fieser, whose four sons, Walt, Stephen, James, and Eric Fieser, rounded out the family to 10, which, to date, now includes 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Once a Marine, always a Marine, it is said. Ray enlisted and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps for five years during the Korean War. Many will remember seeing him proudly wearing his original Marines’ dress blues uniform each year on Veterans Day. After opening his own business, Ray enjoyed going to work each day, repairing vehicles and restoring old automobiles and tractors. Ray was a strong Christian, faithful in prayer and worship, and in teaching adult Sunday School classes. He loved singing and was the church song leader for many years. He loved the Lord and his family first, then his work. This was followed by his enjoyment of senior games, being the East Hills Center’s champ at Wii bowling. A legend left the earth this week. Free of the illness that kept him down, Ray is surely smiling in the presence of God and singing praises. A memorial service celebrating Ray’s life will be held when gatherings are again permitted. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc.
