Remarks:   Johnstown Tribune 7 Jan 1944 MRS. CHARLES BRINDLE Mrs. Amanda (Howard) Brindle, wife of Charles Brindle, 66, died at 7:35 a .m. today at her home in the Belmont section of Richland Twp. Mrs. Brindle had been ill for the past two weeks. A native of Latrobe, Mrs. Brindle was a daughter of Solomon and Rachel (Diehl) Howard. Surviving are her husband and the following children: John, 106 Barnhart St.; Mrs. Harvey W. Horner, rear 74 DuPont Pl.; Mrs. D ennis Reiking, Belmont; Mrs. Daniel A. Wissinger, Geuistown, and Mrs. Robert Birch, 380 Fairfield Ave. Included among the 11 grandchildren surviving is a granddaughter, Mrs. John Shoemaker, 1002 Nathaniel St., D ale, who was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Brindle from the age of two years. M rs. Brindle also leaves three great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: David and Samuel Howard, Somerset; Harvey, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Frank C. Darr, Somerset; Mrs. Laura Moore, Somerset; and Mrs. Adam Brushell, Morgantown, W. Va. Another sister, Mrs. Minnie Donaldson is deceased. Friends will be received at the Conway Funeral Home after noon tomorrow . Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Benedict' s Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
