Remarks:   GROVE - Fred J., 72, Conemaugh, died Feb. 11, 2003, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 15, 1930, in Johnstown, son of Carl Sr. and Anna Gertrude (Litzinger) Grove. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Carl "Wayne" Jr., Robert and Ralph; brothers-in-law, Tony Fama and Robert Dugan; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Grove. Survived by wife, Jane Ramirex) Grove, Conemaugh; children, Fred, and fiancée, Patty Jo Daniels, Parkhill; Deborah, wife of Buddy Bertram, Flowery Branch, Ga.; Connie, wife of David Gordian, Transfer, Pa.; Charlotte, wife of Michael Baker, Crossville, Tenn.; Edward Sr., married to former Kim Byers, Mineral Point; Tiny Hershberger, Richland Township; Barbara Toth, and fiancé Tony Fabina, Conemaugh; and David, married to former Missy Copeland, South Fork; grandchildren, Melissa, Steven, Christopher, Lakyn, Cassidy, Edward Jr., Brandon and Courtney Grove; Richard Steele; Gregory Jr., Jay, and Rebecca Hershberger; Melvina Snedden; David Himes; and Apryl and Roland Toth; great-grandchildren, Tessia Robinson, Travis Snedden and Eric Fisher; siblings, Helen Fama, Johnstown; Zelda Dugan and John "Hank," both of Mundy's Corner; Elmer, married to former Barbara Wissinger; Raymond "Charlie", married to former Catherine Amigh; Donald, married to former Delores Silko; Ann, wife of Frederick Fisher; and Dean, married to former Linda Stoy, all of Vinco; Ruth, wife of Raymond Biter, Loretto; and Catherine, wife of James Shultz, Strongstown; and numerous nieces & nephews. Fred was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. Retired in 1893 from Bethlehem Steel, after 35 years of service as a car shop repairman. Fred attended Singer Hill Grace Brethren and Conemaugh Grace Brethren churches. Member of Conemaugh-Franklin American Legion Post 633 and Conemaugh PNA Group 1869. Life member of Conemaugh Independence Fire Company and Home Association and the American-Carpatho Citizens Club. Fred enjoyed playing his guitar and will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, who lived his life to the fullest. Friends received from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Friday at The Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, the Rev. Marvin E. Lowery. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with military rites conducted by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.
