Remarks:   FOREMAN - Helen Wissinger, 97, fell asleep in the Lord, Nov. 28, 2008. She was a former resident of the Walnut Grove section of Johnstown. Born at home on Feb. 25, 1911. Lifelong member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Daughter of Curtis Wissinger and Elnora Pebley Wissinger. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Alice Wissinger Amick. Last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a direct descendant of the Revolutionary War veteran and one of the founding fathers of Johnstown, Ludwig Wissinger. Survived by three children: John Foreman of Indianapolis; Kim Foreman of Johnstown; and Dr. Thomas Foreman of Toronto, Canada; two grandchildren, Justin Foreman and Jenna Foreman; and two nephews, Thomas Amick and Erick Amick, married to Kathleen Kochman of Indiana County; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. Veteran of World War II, serving with the Marine Corps. Mrs. Foreman was a well-known business teacher in the area having taught for 38 years at the former Dale High School, Triangle Area School District, Beaverdale School District and the Forest Hills School District. Helen dedicated her life to her church and her teaching both of which provided her with great joy. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Geisel Funeral Home, Dale. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Geisel-Devlin Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Ron Barto. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
