Mrs. Susan A. Poling, widow of the Rev. Daniel S. Poling, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles J. Hammer, 118 Walter Street, Derry, in her 89th year. Mrs. Poling made her home for a number of years at South Fork, removing to Derry about a year ago. Her death was due to a complication of diseases.

The deceased was born in Romney, W. Va., May 11, 1835, being a daughter of Reuben and Maria Pownell. She and the Rev. Daniel S. Poling, one of the pioneer ministers of the Pittsburgh Conference of the Evangelical Church, were married in West Virginia October 14, 1852, by the Rev. Jacob Bizer, a German Baptist Brethren minister. The Rev. and Mrs. Poling celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in October, 1902, when they were the guests of honor of the South Fork Evangelical Church. The Rev. Poling died in South Fork December 7, 1907
