Sister of Johnstown Woman Dies Suddenly
At Home in Altoona.

Special to the Tribune.

Altoona, March 28. -- Mrs. Barbara E. DeArment, a former resident of Portage, Cambria County, died at her home, No. 1623 Eleventh avenue, at 7:45 o'clock yesterday morning from pneumonia, after an illness of but two days. The deceased was born at Portage sixty-eight years ago and resided there until the death of her husband five years ago, when she removed here. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Katharine Sigle, Mrs. James Gwin, and Mrs. Thomas Maher, all of this city; Miss Lulu Francis, at home; James, of Portage, and Mrs. C. W. Eichelberger, of Saxton. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John Foster, of Johnstown, Herminie Houser, of Westmoreland County; Mrs. William McCormick, of Harrisburg, and Frank Houser, of Petersburg. Funeral services will be conducted at her late home by an M. E. Church minister to-morrow afternoon at 1 o'clock, after which the remains will be taken to Portage for interment.
