|J. H. Woodruff Dr. J. b. Woodruff received a telegram this forenoon announcing the death of his brother Jennings, whose home was in Clarion, Pa. Deceased was about forty-eight years old. Dr. Woodruff, who did not know his brother was sick, was shocked to hear of his death and had no particulars to give. The following information, however, appeared in the Pittsburgh "Post" this morning: "J. H. Woodruff, a monument builder, forty-eight years old, of Clarion, was admitted to the Mercy Hospital Monday. Yesterday the physicians decided on an operation for appendicitis. Before anesthetics could be administered the man died. An autopsy was held which showed that his death might have been caused either from valvular or muscular heart disease, appendicitis, pneumonia, or liver disease." Dr. Woodruff will leave this evening for Clarion to attend the funeral.
