|Edward Luther died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Luther, in Ebensburg, this (Thursday) afternoon at 10 minutes before 3 o’clock. The deceased was an industrious and promising young man who had lived the greater part of his lifetime in Ebensburg where he was esteemed by all who knew him. After leaving school he learned the printing trade in the office of the Mountaineer, in this place, and remained in that establishment for seven or eight years up until last fall when he accepted a position at Braddock in the office of the Daily News of that place. About two months ago he was taken sick and after laying off for a few days returned to work when he took a cold and was compelled to again relinquish work. He then came home and is (sic-in) a few days typhoid fever developed and since that time he h ad been hovering between life and death and his friends hoped that he would eventually recover. But such was not to be and at 10 minutes before 3 o’clock he passed away.|
He was about twenty-nine years of age and besides his parents, is survived by one sister, Miss Maude, at home. At this writing the funeral arrangements have not been made but it is probably the funeral will occur on Saturday morning.
