Mrs. Jane Lemon Wissinger, relict of Ephram Wissinger, died of general debility yesterday morning at the Wissinger home on First Street, Conemaugh, aged 78 years, 10 months, and 4 days. The deceased, whose maiden name was Jane Lemon, was born at West Fairfield, Westmoreland County; her parents and all her brothers and sisters proceeded her to the grave, except Mrs. Margaret Lemon Lord, of Greensboro, who was summoned to Conemaugh one day last week and was at her sisters bedside when she passed away.
Jane Lemon and Ephram Wissinger were married many years ago and settled in Conemaugh about 1876. Mr. Wissinger died March 1905. Mrs. Wissinger is survived by two sons and five daughters: Francis, who has been living in Alaska for a long time; Robert J. of Conemaugh, yardmaster for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company at South Fork; Sarah, wife of Samuel Byers of Altoona; Alice, wife of Michael Kyle; Rachel, wife of Lewis Barkheimer; Elizabeth, wife of Calvin Leech; and Elmira, wife of H. L. Miller; all of Conemaugh. Besides these, she is survived by a large number of grandchildren. The deceaseds pastor, the Rev. John H. Lancaster, of the Methodist Church, will conduct the obsequies at the Wissinger home at 10:00 Monday forenoon. Interment will be made at Headricks Cemetery above Conemaugh.
