Samuel Snyder, of Somerset, Dies After Many Years of Public Service
HE WAS AGED EIGHTY-FOUR
Somerset, Sept. 19. - Samuel Snyder, aged eighty-four, the oldest jury Constable in western Pennsylvania, died at his home on the West Side on Friday last from the results of a paralytic stroke with which he was stricken about three weeks ago. He performed his regular duties in the courts here until he was stricken by the disease which caused his death. He is survived by several children. He was a brother of John Snyder, a well-known citizen of Johnstown. The funeral was held Sunday. Interment in Union Cemetery.
