MURDER:

On Monday night a row occurred at the Central Railroad Tunnel near the Summit, this county, between the Irish laborer engaged in constructing that road, in which one Irishman was Killed and another dangerously wounded. The particulars and names of the parties killed and injured have not yet been learned.

The name of the unfortunate one killed was Patrick Breen. He was stabbed in the abdomen and left breast by Patrick Shiels, with a dirk knife, during a fight that occurred between them at Wilson's shanty. Shields is represented as a desperate character. The murderer escaped and is still at large.
