|JOHNS, Mrs. Lillian Elliot, aged 46 years, eleven months, and thirty days, wife of Richard W. Johns, died Sunday, March 28th, at her home at Grip, Indiana county, of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Johns was highly respected by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Calvin Lowmaster of Marsteller, and by her mother, Mrs. Mary Frances Elliot, widow of Joseph Elliot, a Civil War veteran who has been dead for about nine years. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Sheridan, of Nicktown; William, of Marsteller; George of Everhart street; Elmer Ellsworth, in the Navy; Elizabeth, Wife of Walter Davis, of Ebensburg; Martha, wife of David Davis, of the South Side; Lottie, wife of Howie Davis, of Washington, D.C.; Vernie, wife of Robert McDonald, of Grip, in Indiana County. |
Those who attended the funeral from this city were Aaron F. Johns and B. S. Johns, both of Upper Yoder Township; Ira R. Johns of Glenn street, Morrellville, and George Elliot and Mrs. David Davis of the South Side.
Those present from Ebensburg were Mrs. Walter Davis and two sons, Byron and Eldon. Simeon Johns of Pine Flats, and Mrs. and Mrs. Ross Jones of Garman's Mills, also attended. The funeral services were conducted by J. T. Byers of Garman's Mills. Undertaker harry McMillen of Barnesboro, interring the remains in the McDowell Cemetery, near Grip.
