Mrs. Adam Varner, aged seventy-six years, died of general debility at the Varner home in Jackson Township at 9 o'clock Sunday morning. Mrs. Varner was an invalid for a long time, having been confined to her room for the past four years. She was conscious to the last. The deceased had resided in Jackson Township for the past fifty years. Besides her husband, Mrs. Varner is survived by six children, as follows: Isaiah and Lorenzo, of Johnstown; Leander, of Greensburg; Mrs. William Eppley, of Rosedale; Mrs. Adam Snyder, of West Taylor Township, and Mrs. John Linck, of Pittsburg. The funeral took place at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, when the Rev. J. W. Richards, of Morrellville, and the Rev. W. S. Leffler, of Conemaugh, conducted the obsequies. Interment was made in the chapel cemetery. Mrs. Varner was a member of the Evangelical Association.
