The funeral services of the late Johnston Lawson, aged 78 years, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alice Kane, of this place, of a complication of diseases due to old age, will be held at the Kane residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial, in the Armagh Cemetery. Mr. Lawson was a Civil War veteran, having enlisted in Company B., 56th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was born in Indiana County on May 4, 1845. The deceased is survived by one brother, Jacob Lawson, a retired railroad engineer, and the following children: Robert, of Indiana; Norman, of Homestead; Mrs. Alice Kane, of this place; and Raymond, of North Side, Pittsburg.
