Charles P. McCann of Johnstown, aged 44, died at 7 o'clock Wednesday morning, April 20, at his home. He was bedfast for the last five weeks suffering from a complication of ailments. Mr. McCann was born in Brisbin, Clearfield county, the son of the late William McCann and of Mrs. Catherine McCarthy McCann of Ebensburg. He was employed for the last 12 years as an engineer in the Franklin works of the Bethlehem Steel Co.
In addition to his mother, Mr. McCann is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Jones McCann, and the following children: Mary Louise, Robert, Patrick, Alice Josephine and Catherine Dolores McCann, all at home. Mr. McCann was a brother of Mary, wife of A.M. Schettig and Dr. Patrick, Daniel, Francis and Helene McCann, Ebensburg; Florence McCann, Altoona; John McCann, Pittsburgh and Sister Mary Magdalene, order of St. Joseph, stationed at Holy Rosary convent Pittsburgh.
Funeral services were conducted at 9 o'clock Saturday morning in St. John Gualbert's Catholic church. Interment was in St. Aloysius church cemetery at the summit.
