Remarks:   TWO BROTHERS DIE ONE DAY APART

Two northern Cambria County brothers died a day apart. Their deaths were the result of natural causes. They were Harold T. Kirsch, 64, of Spangler, who died at 7:35 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, and Walter L. Kirsch, 78, of Nicktown, who was dead on arrival at 12:50 p.m. Monday at Miners Hospital, Spangler.

Harold was born Feb. 1, 1915, in Nicktown, the son of the late Andrew S. and Amelia (Ager) Kirsch. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Leona Weakland; son, Thomas; brother, Homer; and sisters, Mrs. Demetria Dumm and Mrs. Esther Dumm. A brother, Walter L., died Oct. 15, 1979.

Harold is survived by these children: M. Andrew, Grand Island, Neb.; Patricia, Johnstown; Martin P., Spangler; Paulette, Cherry Tree; and Michael S., Barnesboro; also six grandchildren. He was a brother of Sister Mary Consuella, Mount Aloysius, Cresson; Herbert and Merle, both of Carrolltown; Alcuin, Herman, William and Marlin, all of Nicktown; Clair, Clearfield; Mrs. Aline Duman, Ebensburg; Mrs. Ruth Duman, Latrobe; and Mrs. Alma DeWilliams, Camden, N.J.

He was a member of St. Nicholas' Holy Name Society.

Friends were received at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Carrolltown, where wake service was held. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, at St. Nicholas' Catholic Church, Nicktown, by the Rev. Father Noel Rothrauff, OSB. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Walter was born Nov. 12, 1900, in Nicktown. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, brothers Homer and Harold and sisters Mrs. Demetria Dumm and Esther Dumm.

Walter is survived by his widow, the former Edith Downey and these children: Walter J., Naperville, Ill.; Leonard, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. Michael (Dorothy) Bellish, Canfield, Ohio; Mrs. Michael (Mary Ann) Wargo, Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Roger, Harlington, Tex.; Mrs. James (Jean) Brown, Cody, Wyo.; Philip, Upper Marlboro, Md.; Mrs. Edward (Julia) Wagner, Nicktown; Mrs. Thomas (Vickie) Buterbaugh, Cherry Tree; Mrs. Ronald (Debra) Kovalak, Winston-Salem, N.C.; and Mrs. John (Sharon) Terrizzi, Nicktown; also 35 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Sister Mary Consuella, Mount Aloysius, Cresson; Herbert and Merle, both of Carrolltown; Alciun, Herman, William and Marlin, all of Nicktown; Clair, Clearfield; Mrs. Aline Duman, Ebensburg; Mrs. Ruth Duman, Latrobe; and Mrs. Alma DeWilliams, Camden, N.J.

Walter was a member of St. Nicholas' Holy Name Society and Colver Local 860, UMWA.
