YEAGER, Conrad (Mrs.) (Yahner) Waltz

|Mrs. Yeager Dead|
Mrs. Conrad Yeager died at 7 a.m. Monday, September 22 [sic] at her home in Elder Township. Death was attributed to a rupture of the bowels while milking, and she was operated on Saturday by Dr. Rice and Johnson of Hastings, but she died of gangrene.
Mrs. Yeager was married twice. First to John Waltz, who died of smallpox after the Civil War, in which he has served, and second, to Conrad Yeager.
Children from her first marriage are: Elizabeth, wife of Michael Walters; George Waltz, of Altoona, and Edward Waltz, of Hastings.
From her second marriage, the following children survive: Philip Yeager, of Elder Township; Lewis Yeager, of Elder Township; Joseph Yeager, of Idaman, Indiana County; Albert Yeager, of Elder Township; and Jacob Yeager, of Elder Township.
Mrs. Yeager was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Yahner. She was born March 15, 1835, and was aged 75 years, 6 months and 4 days at death.
The funeral was held at St. Boniface Church, and burial was in the church cemetery.
