Last rites for Mrs. Ella D. (Williams) Settlemire-Mooney, 86, were held at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Settlemire, 131 Barron Avenue, at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and were largely attended. Rev. Clair E. Custer, former pastor of the Cooper Avenue Evangelical Church, now pastor of the Arlington Avenue Church, Pittsburgh, officiated, assisted by Rev. D.A. Miller, present pastor of the Cooper Avenue congregation. While a lifelong Methodist, Mrs. Mooney in her later years of residence in West Taylor Township attended the Evangelical Church. Six grandsons were pallbearers for Mrs. Mooney. Interment was in Grandview Cemetery, directed by Stephen J. Conway, mortician. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the obsequies were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Evans and Miss Mary Mooney, Washington, D.C.; Arthur Settlemire, Private First Class, U.S. Army, Baltimore, Md.; Pvt. John Settlemire, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Settlemire, now stationed at Walter Reed Hospital, Washington, D.C.; Mr. and Mrs. John Friend, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Settlemire and Arthur Settlemire, Wellington, O.; Mary Ellen Settlemire, Lorain, O.; Nellie Saltzinger, Youngstown, O.; Ed Schoff of the state of California; Mr. and Mrs. John Riggs and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow McAdams of Seward. Mrs. Mooney left 31 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
