Wife of Griffith J. Jones Passes Away at Age of Seventy
Mrs. Harriet Jones, wife of Griffith J. Jones, aged seventy years, died at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at her home in the West ward. Some years ago Mrs. Jones suffered a stroke of paralysis. Since then she had been an invalid. She is survived by her husband, two sons – Gilmore of Ebensburg and Willard of Pittsburg, who is employed at the Union Depot in that city – and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Squires, wife of Jacob Squires of this place. She is also survived by one sister, Julia Williams, who resided with the deceased and one brother, William R. Williams of Cambria township.
Mrs. Jones was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Williams and was born on the W. R. Williams farm in Cambria township. Her brother, John, died about four years ago in Minnesota. She was a member of the Christian church. The funeral services will likely be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Christian church and interment will follow in Lloyd's cemetery.
