John A. Phillips, a Cambria pensioner, who had been a paralytic during the last four years, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Conner, in West Taylor Township. He was born in Indiana County, this State, on April 15, 1851, and had been a resident of this city for the last 50 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Olive Branch United Evangelical Church, in charge of the Rev. W. W. Elrick. Burial will be in Benshoff Cemetery.
The deceased was employed by the Cambria Steel Company for about 43 years, his last place of employment being in the wire mill. He was a member of the United Evangelical Church for 15 years.
Mr. Phillips leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth (Dishong) Phillips; two children, Mrs. George W. Connor (article cut off)
