Mr. Sharp, an old and respected resident of Muenster township, died at his home on Friday, December 11, 1896, in the 86th year of his age.

Mr. Sharp was born in Germany in 1810 and came to this country in 1836 and settled in Richmond, Va, where he remained for about two years. He afterward removed to Chicago and from there to Dayton O., where he remained only a short time and returned to Germany about 1840, where he married Margaret Mary Denny, returning to this country he took up his residence in Cumberland, Md. Mr. Sharp afterwards lived in Hollisdayburg and from there removed to a farm in Allegheny township, where has since resided.

Mr. Sharp is survived by his aged wife, one son, John, who lives at home, and one daughter, Mrs Jerome Flick, of Allegheny Twp. Buried St. Michaels.
