LORETTO, March 13-Mrs. Elizabeth (Eckenrod) Behe, aged 76 years, widow of Elias Behe, of Wildwood Springs, about two miles east of here, expired Saturday afternoon at the home of her son, Michael Behe, of Mt Clemens, Mich. Word of her death was received here yesterday. She suffered a paralytic stroke some time ago.
The body will be brought here for burial. It will arrive on the 6:41 o'clock train tomorrow morning at Cresson and will be brought overland to this place. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock in St. Michael's Catholic Church. A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Father Ferdinand Kittell, rector. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Behe was born in Cambria County and was well known in this vicinity, having spent most of her life near Wildwood Springs. The deceased was born on March 15, 1845. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Sara (Dumm) Eckenrod. Miss Elizabeth Eckenrod and Elias Behe were united in marriage at Carrolltown 57 years ago. Her husband died at Wildwood Springs on October 19, 1909. She is survived by the following children: Mary, wife of A. L. Nagle, of Duncansville, Blair County; Jennie, wife of Calvin Rairgh, Woodland, Mich; Raymond Behe, of Gallitzin; Andrew Behe, of Johnstown, and Michael Behe, of Mt Clemens, Mich. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Simon Eligh, of Spangler, and Miss Isabelle Eckenrod, of Ebensburg. Mrs. Behe is survived by 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
