Morrellville Woman Dies of Complication of Diseases Funeral Wednesday
Mrs. Alice A. Rose, aged 72 years, wife of Franklin Rose, of 126 I Street, Morrellville, died at the Mercy Hospital at 5:45 o'clock last evening, death being due to a complication of diseases. She suffered a fracture of the left leg and a fractured shoulder some time ago as the result of a fall at her residence. Mrs. Rose was admitted to the Eight Ward Institution on Dec. 27. The body has been prepared for burial by John Henderson Company and has been removed to the home of the deceased's son in law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Smith of 264 Chandler Ave, Morrellville. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Smith home and will be conducted by the Rev. L.G. Wood, pastor of the Morrellville Third Church of the Brethren. Burial will be made in Grandview Cemetery.
The deceased was the daughter of the late Aaron and Lucy Ann (Berkebile) Croyle. She was united in marriage to Franklin Rose 50 years ago. Mrs. Rose is survived by her husband and the following children: J. E. Rose, Edgewood, Mrs. Rabze Boring, New Florence; Mr. R.H. Harbaugh, of M street, Morrellville. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters; Pearson Croyle, Upper Yoder; Francis Croyle, Middle Taylor Township; Mrs. Adam Fender, Richland ; Mr. W M Gerringer, Chandler Ave.
