Lilly Burgess Expires At The Mercy Hospital
Burgess Charles A. McGonigle, aged 65 years, of Lilly, died at the Mercy Hospital about 12:30 o'clock last night following an operation for hernia.
The deceased was born near Lilly and was a son of Jeremiah and Anna McGonigle. He served as Justice of the Peace at Lilly for a number of years and three terms as Burgess. Burgess McGonigle is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary McGonigle, and the following children--Jerry, Anna, Cyril and Joseph McGonigle, all at home; Francis McGonigle, of Lilly; William McGonigle, of Pitcairn; Mrs. J. C. Leahey, of Lilly, and one brother, Michael McGonigle, also survive the deceased.
The body will be shipped to Lilly for burial by Undertaker Stephen J. Conway this evening. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. The deceased was a member of St. Brigid's Catholic Church, of Lilly
