STRONG, Amos D., for 27 years identified prominently with the business interests of South Fork, died at his home Thursday evening, October 14, at 7:30 o’clock, of Bright’s disease, aged 52 years. Amos Diminger Strong was born at Strongstown, August 3, 1863. In 1885 he was united in marriage with Miss Lucy Hite, who survives him, with the following children: Anna, Merrit L, Ethel, Claire, George, and Esther, all at home. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: S.J. Strong, of Johnstown; Mrs. J. S. Miller, of Bolivar; Mrs. W. S. Mervine and Isaac Strong, of Strongstown. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon, services being conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church by the pastor, the Rev. J. C. Brown, assisted by the Rev. Thomas Charlesworth, of Leechburg. Interment was made in the South Fork Cemetery.
