Mineral Point, Nov 26 1918 -- William ROSE, of Mineral Point, died at his home about 8:30 o'clock Sunday evening of kidney trouble. He was born in Greensburg on October 13, 1838, and was 80 years old at his death. His wife died on July 17, 1908 and he is survived by the following children: Lemon, William W., Harry G., Mrs. Charles PAGE (Mary Emma), all of Mineral Point, and Mrs. W. J. MARTIN (Hattie) of Alliance, O. Eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive, with the following brother and sisters: Aaron Rose of Benscreek, and Mrs. Fred SLAGLE (Mary) and Mrs. A. L. HILDEBRAND (Malinda) of Johnstown. Mr. Rose was a veteran of the Civil War, a member of the 54th Regiment Co D Pennsylvania Volunteers and served throughout the war. He has two grandsons in the U. S. service in France -- Howard A. Rose and William H. Page.
