|Rev. Father Gallagher|
The Rev. Father Gallagher, rector of St. Maryís Catholic church at New Castle since 1879, died at the home of his nephew in Philadelphia Saturday, where he was spending a short vacation. The deceased was born in County Donegal, Ireland, Jan. 3, 1844, and came to this country in early youth. He studied at St. Michaelís seminary, Glenwood, and was ordained Jan. 11, 1873, after which he assumed his first charge at Altoona. He went from Altoona to New Castle, where he remained as pastor until the time of his death.
