BERKEBILE, Amanda M. (Rodgers)

Mrs. Amanda M. Berkebile, wife of Norman L. Berkebile, died at her home, No. 214 Water Street, Fifth Ward, at 10 o'clock this morning, after an illness of eighteen months with a complication of diseases.
The deceased was born in Somerset County almost fifty-two years ago and was a sister of the late Alonzo Rodgers; Albert Rodgers, of the Seventh Ward; Mrs. Emma Inscho, of Morrellville; Mrs. Annie Kring, of Bolivar; Mrs. Jane Dailey, of Dailey, Somerset County; and Mrs. Ellie Slick, of Windber. Mrs. Berkebile was a half-sister of Miss Minnie Rodgers, of Hooversville, and Charles Rodgers, of this city.
The subject of this notice was married in this city over a third of a century ago to Norman L. Berkebile, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. D. M. Kinter, then pastor of the Main Street Christian Church. Mrs. Berkebile is survived by her husband and three children, viz: Kinter, of the Gautier General Office; Zella, wife of Ralph Richardson, and Miss Nora Berkebile, all at home.
The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Main Street Christian Church, of which the deceased was a member. The Rev. E. A. Hibler will conduct the obsequies and interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery.
