Mrs. Jennie Thomas, aged 44 years, wife of Harvey Thomas, of 1095 Bedford street, Walnut Grove, died at the Johnstown City Hospital at 12 o'clock last night, following an operation. She was admitted to the hospital on June 9 and underwent the operation on June 11. The deceased was born in Jackson Township on August 2, 1872. She was a daughter of John Wissinger, of Morrellville. Mrs. Thomas' mother died about 22 years ago. The deceased was united in marriage to Harvey Thomas at Ebensburg in May 1897 be the Rev. Hunt. She is survived by her husband and three children -- Helen, Lillian and Dean, all at home. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Thomas is survived by her father and the following brothers and sisters: Walter Wissinger of Conemaugh; Eli Wissinger, of Jackson Township; Albert Wissinger, of Westmont; Mary, wife of Timothy Gillin, of Jackson Township; Hannan, {sic} wife of Harry Griffith, of Jackson Township; Lucy, wife of Stephen James, of Conemaugh; Hattie, wife of Harry Van, of School place, First Ward; Sarah, wife of Watson Grumbling, of Morrellville. The body has been removed from the hospital to the Thomas residence by Undertaker John Pendry. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon from the Walnut Grove United Brethren Church, of which the deceased was a member. The services will be conducted by the Rev. J. J. Funk, pastor of the church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
