John D. ROSE, of No 705 Pine Street, Seventh Ward, died at 7 o'clock last evening at the Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He underwent an operation for rupture soon after he was admitted and erysipelas set in later and caused his death. The deceased was born in Paint Township, Somerset County, in March 1860, and was a son of David Rose, deceased, and Mrs. Elizabeth Rose COSTLOW, now the wife of James Costlow of Wilmore. Jacob H. Rose of Wood Street, is a brother of John D. Rose; Mrs George Eichensehr, of Nant-y-glo, is a half-sister, and Edward Costlow of Lovett, and Frederick Costlow of Nant-y glo are half-brothers. Mr. Rose was a foreman at the Structural Works of the Cambria Steel Company. He was married in Johnstown some years ago to Miss Effie ROSS, who survives him with the following children: Sarah, Wesley, Minnie, Ruth, George, John, and Effie, all at home. The funeral will take place from the Rose home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Charles Walker Anschutz, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, of which Mr. Rose was a member, will conduct the obsequies and the remains will be laid to rest in Grand-View Cemetery.
