MRS. VAUGHAN DAVIES DIES AT ASHLAND
Mrs. Davies, wife of the Rev. J. Vaughan Davies, died on January 16 at the Davies home in Ashland, this State, aged 71 years. Her husband was pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, this city, for a year or so, resigning last month, to return to Ashland on account of his wife's condition. The deceased was born in England, coming to America in 1890. She was married twice. Her first husband was the Rev. Mr. Thomas, a minister in one of the Baptist churches of England. Besides the Rev. Davies, the deceased is survived by a son living in the District of Columbia and by two married daughters. |
