PLOTTS, Margaret Sliger

Mrs. Margaret Plotts, aged 85 years, widow of the Rev. Peter W. Plotts, who died about 11 years ago, passed away on Saturday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Cawthern, of 522 Highland avenue, Seventeenth Ward. Her death was due to general debility. Funeral services will be held from the late residence this afternoon and will be in charge of the Rev. W. M. Peffer, pastor of the Trinity Evangelical Church. Interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery.
The deceased was married twice, her first husband being John Sliger. Mrs. Jessie Williams, of Oil City, Pa., is the only surviving child of this union. She was later united in marriage to the Rev. Plotts. The following children of this union survive: Mrs. J. D. Ripple, of the Seventh Ward; Mrs. Joseph Cawthern, mentioned above; Mrs. John Mitchell, of Cleveland, O.; Herbert Plotts, of Cypress avenue, Seventeenth Ward, and Mrs. Ernest Stewart, of Linden avenue, Seventeenth Ward. Mrs. Plotts is also survived by the following step-children: Mrs. George Wilcox, of Kanesholme, Pa.; William Plotts, of Los Angeles, Cal.; Frank Plotts, of Chicago; Mrs. R. S. Porter, sr., of Coleman avenue, Seventeenth Ward; Mrs. James R. Kennedy, Detroit, and Miss Ida R. Plotts, of Park avenue, Moxham. Five of Mrs. Plotsí [sic] grandsons served their country during the war and three of them are now in France.
