|CAMBRIA MINER IS FATALLY HURT|
Dominic Losoto Run Over by Mine Car While Attempting to Stop Mule in Mine
Dominic Losoto, of 280 Iron street, Fourteenth Ward, was fatally injured late yesterday afternoon, when he was run over by a mine car at the Rolling Mill Mine of the Cambria Steel Company. He died at the Cambria Hospital this morning from concussion of the spine.
Losoto, who was employed as a trackman, was riding out of the mine at the close of the shift on a car which was drawn by a mule. He made an effort to stop the mule to place an empty car, but the mule failed to stop and he jumbed off the car and ran ahead to stop the animal. In some manner he fell between the mule and the car and the front wheel of the car passed over the upper part of his body.
The deceased was unmarried. He had worked for Cambria at different times since 1911. The body has been turned over to Undertaker Martin Maretincic. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
