|EUGENE ROESCH, SOUTH SIDE RESIDENT, DIES|
Was Member of Woodmen of the World and A. O. K. of M. C. -- 46 Years Old
Eugene Roesch, a member of the Woodmen of the World, Ancient Order Knights of the Mystic Chain and Zion's Brotherhood, died shortly after 10 o'clock this morning at his home, 830 Sherman street, following an illness with several diseases covering a period of 13 years. He had been confined to his bed, however, only since last Saturday.
Eugene Roesch was born 46 years ago in Germany. He was married in this city to Miss Elizabeth Reehl, also of Germany, the ceremony being performed 20 years ago by the Rev. Glasow, then pastor of Zion's German Lutheran Church.
Mr. Roesch is survived by his mother, Mrs. Veronica Roesch Applegate, and his step-father, who live in Freemansburg, Pa.; by his widow, one son, Ervin, and one brother, Herman, of Roxbury. Until he became ill, Mr. Roesch was employed as assistant engineer in the Bessemer Department of the Cambria Steel Company. In Barbarossa Castle, No. 85, A. O. K. of M. C., he occupied all the chairs and was Chaplain.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Roesch residence by the Rev. E. A. Tappert, of Zion's German Lutheran Church, and interment will be in Grandview in charge of Undertaker Veiring. The time of the services has not been decided.
