FUNERAL IN THIS CITY
SALIX, Feb. 2 - Mrs. Barbara Ann (Gramling) Wissinger, wife of Cyrus Wissinger of this place, died at 3 oclock this morning at her home after an illness of more than a years duration. Her demise was caused by a complication of ailments.
Mrs. Wissinger was in her 74th year. She was born in Gramlingtown, Adams Township, on July 20, 1860, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Gramling. She was united in marriage to Cyrus Wissinger May 20, 1880. The couple resided in Johnstown until removing to this place several years ago.
Mrs. Wissinger leaves only her husband of their immediate family, two children having preceded her to the grave. Elmer Franklin Wissinger died June 21, 1916, and Lydia Pearl Wissinger expired August 30, 1892.
Three brothers, Daniel Gramling of Johnstown and William and Solomon Gramling of Geistown, and two sisters, Mrs. J. S. Stutzman of Johnstown and Mrs. Amanda Gilman of South Fork survive Mrs. Wissinger. Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death: Charles Gramling of Johnstown and Jacob and George Gramling and Mrs. Jane Ream, all of South Fork. Hadley, Robert and Charles Wissinger of this place and Mrs. Esther Norris of Windber, grandchildren of the deceased, also survive, along with six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wissinger was affiliated with the Evangelical denomination in Johnstown for many years and was a charter member of the First Evangelical Congregational Church of that place.
Funeral services will be held in the Johnstown edifice Monday afternoon. Rev. Ray Starr, pastor, will be in charge and will be assisted by Rev. F. W. Ware of the Ohio Street Evangelical Church, a former pastor of the deceased. The place of interment has not yet been decided upon.
