This is a stereo view showing the Allegheny Tunnel at the Summit which is located in Gallitzin. Even though the card reads Gallitzen, this view is from Purviance's Stereographs on the Pennsylvania Central Railroad. It shows a single locomotive in front of the Gallitzin House & looks like it is entering the famous Tunnel ... even though the tunnel doesn't even look like a tunnel yet.
