Other: I am researching John and Barbara Yuhas or Yuhasz of Pine Indiana Pa. John and Barbara aka Bessie Szanyi of Cambria Pa I can not find The Szanyi in any census for 1920 but I know they were in Cambria county because I found a I & N receipt list(?) that has them recorded as being there. I'm interested in any Szanyi or Yuhas info in either Indiana or Cambria county.
Other: Researching David Irvine & his wife, Gertrude Patterson. David was born in Scotland. Immigrated approx. 1870s/1880s. Parents born in Ireland. Gertrude was born in PA, as were parents. Children: Ella, Alfred, Catherine, Jessie, Edward, and others. David was a coal miner, then union organizer working with John Brophy and John L. Lewis.
Other: William Walton married Caroline (Carrie) Fisher in 1873, but the first definitive time we find them, they're in Johnstown in 1877. I suspect they may have been married in Cambria County, but I have no idea how to find out. I've looked at her home county (Cumberland), but unfortunately, he seems to appear out of thin air! The census records show he doesn't even report where his parents were from, and they're listed as unknown on his death certificate.
Other: Researching the family of William Brown Watkins, b. 1834; d. 1890. William Watkins was a Methodit Episcopal minister who lived in the 2nd ward of Johnstown ca. 1880. He is the son of John Watkins and Sarah (Hunter) of Wheeling, WV.

Other: GGG grandfather was Henry Wike, who, with Christina Schultz, had five children, one being GG grandfather, Samuel Wike, born in 1825. He married Sarah McCardle in Huston Twp., in 1847. One of their many children was by G grandfather, George Wike, His first child was my grandfather (b. 1891), Samuel Edgar Wike, who married Hazel StClair. They lived in Altoona their entire married life and are both buried in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. Hazel's parents were Elzie StClair and Stella Mae Garland.
