Remarks:   HARLAN -- Christopher R. "Red," 64, 1390 Frankstown Road, died April 14, 1981, at Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 25, 1916, in Johnstown, son of Christopher and Agnes (Sloan) Harlan. Preceded in death by parents; and sisters, Rose Marie Vogel, Madeline Barrett and Agnes Hart. Survived by widow, former Betty Kinsey, and these beloved children: Christina, wife of Gary Shawley, and Mercedes Bloom, both of Johnstown; Saundra, wife of Richard T. Weimer Jr., New Florence; Veronica, wife of John P. James, and Rebecca, wife of Dennis C. Lovejoy, both of Johnstown; also 10 grandchildren. Brother of Regina Kiel, Portage, and Catherine Cuthbert and Frances Armstrong, both of Johnstown. Retired from Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Former justice of the peace in Conemaugh Township, Cambria County. Member of Cover Hill and Daisytown fire departments and St. Gregory's Catholic Church, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 2. Because of Holy Week, service by the Rev. Richard Conti will be held at 10 a.m. at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Locust & Jackson streets, where friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment, St. John's Cemetery.
