DEATH NEAR NEW FLORENCE.

Old Citizen Peacefully Passes Away After Retiring.

New Florence, Sept. 26. - William Alexander, an old and respected citizen who lived about two miles from here, just over the Indiana County line, was found dead in his bed Monday night about 11 o'clock, shortly after he had retired. The deceased was seventy-three years of age. He is survived by his wife, two daughters at home, two daughters married, and two sons, one of whom, Dr. Ray Alexander, is located at Garfield. The funeral will take place to-morrow morning at 10 o'clock, with services at the house in charge of the Rev. D. C. Littell, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was a lifelong member. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
