|Death of Wm. W. Paterick|
William Wilson Paterick, one of Hastings oldest and best known citizens died at his home here at 5? O’clock Tuesday morning from miner’s asthma. While Mr. Paterick was not in the best of health his death was sudden and came as surprise to his many friends. He was aged 62 years 10 months and 29 days.
Deceased was born in Calderbank, Lanarshire, Scotland on April 22, 1853. He came to this country in 1887 and located at Morris Run, Tioga county until 1890 when he came to Hastings and resided here since.
Mr. Paterick is survived by his widow, seven daughters, one son and two adopted sons, as follows: Mrs. James Hunter, of Indiana; Mrs. Charles Griest, of Patton; Mrs. S. C. Benson, of Fresno, Cal.; the Misses Jennie, Christine, Elizabeth, Eleanor and William at home, and Adam Paterick, of Lilly and Leon A. Forrest, of Elmira, N.Y. He is also survived by seven grand children.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in the union cemetery. It is requested that the funeral be strictly private.
